A Rare Occurance

Limestone, Maine -- Only the annual Independence Day fireworks display could put so much traffic on these rarely traveled back roads between the city of Caribou and the town of Limestone. As for myself, this is what I like to see just as much as the fireworks. It reminds me of the closing scene in "Field of Dreams" when they show the cars lined up as far as the eye can see. There's nothing quite like it, seeing hundreds of cars moving every which way from one horizon to the next, their headlights twinkling in the distance like faraway stars.

Hard to capture on a camera, but I tried. Best seen large, as are all of my photos.
